The Inversion Test is an experimental prototype. The VDM synergy/entropy classification is theoretically grounded, but the scoring weights and diagnostic thresholds in this tool are still being calibrated.

Inversion Test

Determine whether a system, product, or entity creates value (Synergy) or extracts it (Entropy). Uses the VDM framework: qualitative diagnostic + quantitative IS score.

Qualitative Diagnostic
Three binary questions. If all three point negative → the target is an Entropy Merchant.
Dependency
Does it create Freedom (graduation) or Addiction (need)?
Energy
Does it Generate (add density) or Dilute (remove integrity)?

Quantitative Metrics (SVU)
Compute the Inversion Score \(IS = GC \times \Delta I \times SR\). Positive = synergy, negative = entropy.
1 / (time-to-independence in SVU). Higher = faster graduation. 0 = permanent dependency.
Auto-calculates GC = 1/hours. Leave blank to enter GC directly.
Change in (b + d) per use cycle. Positive = generation, negative = dilution.
New value created ÷ value redirected. >1 = creation, <1 = capture.

Formula Reference

\(GC\) \(= 1 / T_{\text{ind}}\) — range: \(0 \to \infty\)
\(\Delta I\) \(= \Delta(b + d)\) per use cycle — negative = dilution, positive = generation
\(SR\) \(= \text{new value} / \text{value redirected}\) — \(<1\) = capture, \(>1\) = creation
\(IS = GC \times \Delta I \times SR\)
\(IS > 0\): net value generation (synergy)
\(IS < 0\): net entropy extraction (inversion)
\(IS \approx 0\): neutral — requires deeper audit
